Property restoration involves working with and transporting hazardous materials. Legislation is in place and it is a regulated industry in Alberta. Each local jurisdiction also has environmental protection policies in place to protect site workers, neighbours, residents and customer employees on commercial sites. Whether dealing with sewage backups, mould or asbestos, workers require training and must be certified before working on sites. Specialized equipment, proper personal protection (PPE), safety and health assessments, and unique site conditions are regulated and monitored by various Alberta Government Agencies including Occupational Health & Safety ("OH&S"), Alberta Health Services, and Alberta Labour. Site checks by OH&S are common and if the wrong methodology, equipment or labour is being used, your site can be closed down immediately.
Be careful when choosing your contractor. Arterra has successfully completed residential and commercial projects throughout Alberta. Our technicians are trained, certified and experienced. Our equipment is well maintained, inpected and site tested for each project. We also have written safety policies in place. They include site safety assessments; procedure and methodology processes; respiratory equipment policies; equipment testing on site; worker PPE and certification checks; and emergency plans. In addition we test for hazardous materials and develop a management plan for each site. This include baseline, real time, and post air quality monitoring using an independent lab for analysis and results.
It is imperative that a completed project leaves no hazardous residue. We would be pleased to meet and answer any questions you have prior to providing you with an estimate. Please contact us by phone (403-999-6097) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
